In line with the chapter's Pledge Education Program (PEP) and Philanthropy, and with the guidance of the class advisers Councilwoman Nancy Palabrica and Ms. Florita de Guzman (St. Jude College), the new pledge class took their leadership skills into action by coming up with a one day activity at Home of Joy (HOJ) located in Gen. Mariano Alvares (GMA), Cavite. The pledge class came up with a theme for the activity entitled,

“Self-motivating and Influencing the Lives of Everyone (S.M.I.L.E)"

The community service was held last September 20th (Sunday) at Home of Joy (HOJ) activity area.

The activity included, games and recreation, story telling activity and the time capsule, afternoon snacks and wish list (food supplies that was extended to Home of Joy).

The chapter would also like to extend its heart felt thanks to Alpha Sigs (Capt.) Kennedy Palabrica (Alpha Omicron), (Capt.) Miguel Matinong (Upsilon) and Audey Rei E. Abellanosa (CPA) (Alpha Alpha) for supporting the activity every step of the way.

Our thanks also to the Brothers of Jose Rizal University (JRU) of Mandaluyong City and La Consolacion College of the province of Batangas for providing guidance to the young aspiring Alpha Sigs.

Home of Joy (HOJ) provides temporary care for abandoned, neglected, orphaned, surrendered and homeless children. The children of Home of Joy (HOJ) are being nurtured and well cared by devoted mothers whom renders their love and service voluntarily. The institution also provides schooling facilities for the orphan children.
